Arrow caps and tips

The top row compares butt, round, and square caps on thick shafts. Blue arrows have one head, green arrows have two, and dashed guides mark their original endpoints. Heads keep those positions while shaft ends retreat far enough to hide their caps behind the triangular tips. The unheaded ends retain their selected cap style.

The lower row applies the same behavior to curved and rounded routes. Endpoints use fractional positions within each canvas; head dimensions, strokes, and dashes use em(). Flex bases establish the comparison columns, and aspect ratios size their canvases. The root's fit scales the completed comparison uniformly. Shaft and head colors differ to make the connection visible.

See Arrow for options and short-route behavior. The same geometry is used by Field.
